Why the "normal" way of learning guitar is hard:

The first thing most people learn when it comes to playing the guitar is how to read a chord diagram.​

(A chord is basically a shape you form on the guitar and you strum it)

Here's how the C chord diagram looks like:

Most people are taught to memorize the shape by dots and numbers.

Dots are where you place your fingers on the fretboard...

And the numbers represent your left hand fingering.

This is just 1 chord.

To start playing a song, you need to learn at least 4 chords.

While it may be easy for some people...

It is confusing for many beginners. 

Once you can form a few chords,

You need to be able to switch from one chord to another smoothly in order for your song to sound smooth.

But the problem is many people struggle to memorize the shapes.

They get confused and stuck.

Their playing sounds broken...

This is where most beginners give up learning the guitar.

Instead of memorizing which fingers and dots to press...

We realize all you have to do is to link the chord shape to something that is easy for your brain to recall!

For example:

Instead of telling yourself which fingers to use (fingers 1 and 2)

You just have to look at 2 dots as a pair of eyes.

A pair of eyes is right beside each other, thus, your fingers has to be right beside each other when forming this chord!

When we did this for our students, they could remember the shape almost instantly!

It's because the human brain can absorb better when it's linked to something easy to remember.
